The top right corner is the river Nile,
the countries it flows through are in single file.
Egypt’s on top if you don’t understand,
under that, is the country of the Sudan.
Moving south, you see the Nile in central Africa,
meeting up in the largest lake: Lake Victoria.
The lake gives fresh water to ya,
to the right is the country of Kenya.
The slender lake below Lake Victoria,
is the hard to pronounce lake: Lake Tanganyika.
Left of this lake is a place to go,
it’s the country of Democratic Republic of the Congo.
In the Congo, the Tropical forest will make you quiver,
located there is the Congo River.
The Kalahari Desert is south of the Congo,
I’m telling you this if you didn’t know.
South of this desert there’s a country “duh,”
it is the country of South Africa.
In the top left part where the land begins,
is the physical feature called the Atlas Mountains.
Going south is the world’s largest desert that must be,
the Sahara goes from the Atlantic Ocean to the Red Sea.
The semi-dry transitional land called the Sahel is next,
it gets alittle more water than a desert, what do you expect.
The Sahel separates the desert of Sahara,
from the subtropical region called the Savanna.
Here is the last major river that’s clear as a mirror,
it’s the waterway called the Niger River.
The Niger River goes through many countries of West Africa,
but it starts in the coastal country of Nigeria.
Here’s our rhyme to help with the maps of Africa,
to get us an A in this class and that’s what’s up.
